Hi Guys,

 

I can't find anything using search, so I'll ask... what's an "Item Overpayment Adjustment"? I've just spotted one on a Kays account for £71.12. Would it be related to any Buy Now Pay Later items that have become payable recently? Saying that, I've reason to believe that the interest payable for the BNPL items are included on a statement as the amounts are higher than what the original price was, if you know what I mean.

 

So, any ideas? Otherwise I'll be claiming against it if I don't know what it is, and leave it up to Kays to tell me what it is, as they don't want to talk to me anyway...

The only thing I can think of is you overpaid and they have adjusted the account to reflect that.

 

Write and ask them, say you have found this item on a statement and would like to know what it refers to .:D

Hmmm, but in that case it'd be a credit to the account and no a cost, if you know what I mean.

 

I think you're right about asking them for further clarification, but giving how long it's taking to SAR them, it could take a loooooooong time :rolleyes:. I might mention it when I send the first charges letter out.

They are obliged to send you a list of the terms/ abreviations they use on their paperwork.. with the Subject Access Request, in order for you to understand it fully.

 

If they havent then you should insist they provide such a list. If not, then make a complaint to the Inforamation Commissioner :)

 

I agree with your reasoning. Include it on the list of charges to be reclaimed. They will soon make it clear what it means :lol:
