I also have problem with allied int. not sure how to start a thread. I have ccj with lloyds payed to sacharri mitchell. came off creit file last year but still paying £40 month to scm. Last month get call from allied. Mr christy my "account manager" said i owe £2003 but they will accept £1203 immediatley. I said I didnt have it and he got me to agree to 3 months of 400. I thought this would buy me time to sort it out. I made first £400 on credit car. 2nd due today, couldnt pay. they rang, he said i should try and get someone to help me out with the money. I begged for more time, i spoke to mr christy supervisor, i now have till monday noon then they will issue notice of intent, he refused point blank to explain what this was. I now have to try to borrow money to pay this on monday. I am worried that they could say i defaulted on the agreement if i dont pay it and this would be on my credit file which is now ok, even though he pressured/scared me into the £400 monthly. any advice

he is feeding you a complete load of ballcocks get a s78 request off to him and pay nothing.

I am concerned that this guy might use the fact of you agreeing to 3 x 400 monthly payments- might hit your card again soon

if i were you i would call the credit card company and report a lost card and ask for a new one

Get the S.78 CCA request this guy is abusing you, DO NOT EVER EVER talk to this **** on the phone, demand everything in writing especially the bit about using credit cards to pay the alleged debt.

If you do not receive the CCA in 12+2 days you put the account into dispute and withhold all payments legally, post up anything you get back.

Cancel the card used and get a new one.

Did you get the offer of £1203 in writing because after you had paid the 1203 they would have come for the rest dont trust them get everything in writing

Send this enclosing £1 postal order send recorded keep receipt and DO NOT SIGN IT.

Triciat - please please take the advice given. DO NOT pay and cancel the card you used with them. AIC are the bottom of the pile in terms of professional conduct and staff quality. I have successfully dealt with them by holding out for a CCA they could never provide. Keep the site informed please.

Unless I'm missing something you are paying £40 a month via a CCJ to SC.

Cancel the card, (of which you gave the details) and tell AIC to sod of.

It's the subject of a CCJ, and from what you say you are well ahead on the payments ordered by the court.

So unless they want to go and explain to a judge why they are interfering with a court order- they can shove their 'notice of intent'.

HI, I am trying to sort out my debts totalling 4000. I have arranged a repayment plan with halifax and JB, however, ALLIED were really unhelpful and refused a payment plan, saying I had to pay the whole 692, which was for a business mastercard. I told them I cannot afford to pay it all at once. I went back to Mastercard and realised I was paying payment protection insurance on the this card, and was off sick for 6 months when this debt was accruing. How do I deal with AIC ? They said if I donìt pay the sum in whole charges will accrue and it will go to the legal team. How do I play this? I am currently working after a long period of unemployment but am not a high earner so my available funds for repaying are about 100 per month. 70 has been taken by JB and Halifax. Appreciate any advice. Thanks.
