Hello everybody,

I CCA-ed one of my credit card companies and instead of CCA received this document.

Could please have any advice on how to or what to respond to this letter?

Many thanks in advance.

Hello tbilisi

The letter refers to "our (their) previous correspondence" If they have not written before, you do not know them and you do not owe them anything? However they refer to your data request. If the OC has not advised you of any referral of your account, then I think there should be a complaint about incorrect transfer of your details to a third party? I am not too knowledgeable about this, but hopefully some one here can advise your next step.

tbilsi - send a copy of your letter to the OFT and tell them this is a letter that Hillsden are sending out which is completely misleading and breaches the CPUTR 2008. They are trying to mislead consumers that they are entitled to collect payment where there is no evidence a debt exists by using a ruling about enforceability which has nothing to do with the legality of agreements. This has to be stopped and every report is a nail in their coffin. No one deserves it more than Hillesden. Please do this.
