Hello, I was wondering if anyone could shed a little light...

I was made redundant in April last year, so I signed on for JSA mainly because of my 2 loans which have payment protection on them. Shortly afterwards I decided to improve my chances of getting a decent job by training up as a plumber. I therefore had to stop my benefit because I couldn't be in full-time education and be actively seeking work. So I had to fend for myself and not only pay for the course (over £10,000) I had to find the money to pay the loans each month. I finished the course in January and immediately signed on again.

I was wondering if anybody knows a way of proving that I was not working and could fill in an ABI1 form for the duration of my course so I could get my loan insurers to backdate my payments on my loans?

I'm not eligable for National Insurance Credits because the course wasn't approved by them.

Any help would be greatly appreciatd as I'm heavily in debt now.

Many thanks

Lee
