Appeal hearing

Hi all.

 

I have a permission to appeal hearing (appeal to be heard if time) coming up next week and need to get it adjourned, due to the bearing of another case that should be sorted out shortly and could have a huge bearing on my appeal.

I have been advised that this is possible, but I have tried to find out how and been unsuccesful.

I would need to be sure that this will succeed, or I have a busy week ahead (not a problem, but the adjournment is of paramount importance).

How do I go about this and what are the chances of an adjournment?

The other side are particularly spiteful and will not want to agree to an adjournment.

You'll need to submit a request on a form N244 to the court.

 

There will be a fee for this.

What is the deal with this?

 

Is there a good chance of a postponement or do they usually go for the continuance?

 

I need to be prepared for every eventuality, but desperately need an adjournment pending another case that will have a huge bearing on mine.
