Hi

New here so hello everyone.

Been looking at a Scooter on Ebay, but the seller has not got the V5 for the scooter.

I have done a HPI check and it came back ok.

The seller says he hasn't got time to send off for the V5 as he needs a quick sale.

Should I steer clear of this, or is it possible for me to obtain the V5 after.

Many thaks

It is possible to obtain a v5 after purchase......however, did you do the HPI check on a registration? Pretty easy to swipe a plate off a similar scooter or order a new plate from ebay for £8.50 no questions asked.

You need to check the vin.

Personally I would stay clear.

Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole tbh, chances are it has been dropped a zillion times with and without a rider on it. You would be better off being in a position of going to see the actual scooter before bidding, that way not only can you check the VIN yourself you can inspect for obvious 'drop' damage, that way you will know if there is owt up with it and stating no time to send it off??! Quick sale? Be very careful.

xx
