Hi

I have received a text message from a mobile on my landline number today from the above, it didn't even say who the message was for just gave a phone number to call and a reference number to quote.

Having googled them, I realise they are probably a DCA but how can I find out who they represent without calling them back?

I am dealing with 2 MBNA cards, Cap 1 and Halifax.

Would the phone numbers be recognisable to anyone?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Evening DX,

Sorry not with you?

Do you mean, stop the calls?

I can simply programme the number into my home phone, but two calls today from 2 different numbers and also a mobile.

Telephone calls don't bother me though, I just wanted clarification on who they were representing

you can via key presses stop getting text messages to home phones via the BT messaging service, even if you are not on BT it still comes from them.

just google it.

Oh right, I am with you now, yes I can stop them but I can keep a record if I leave it as it is.

Just a bit more ammunition if these cowboys ever take me to court.

Thanks for your advice though, always appreciated :)
