Hi All,

 

This is initially a long shot at gathering some background information for a team of 16 people that work with me with regard to current Pay levels and increased staff head count of 8 coming into the team under TUPE regulations.

 

The current team of 16 people all perform the same roles (mix of men and women). We have a situation whereby 8 more staff are entering the team and will be coming across under TUPE rules and regs.

 

The 8 addition heads joining us are on a salary which equates to an approxiamate different of £8-10K from the current team in place.

 

The question I have is, does the equal pay act give any rights to the original 16 staff in that they are performing the same tasks and duties as the newly acquired members?
