Thought we had a Bosch....... shows how often I look at anything but the fridge in our kitchen :p

Anyway, ours is a Classix 6 and by the looks of things as long as its fully drained and the interlocks off on the door switch you should be able to pull the door out just far enough to get a spoon or fork handle behind the catch and push it out (to the right) to release the door.

Just tried it on ours and it worked....... if it leaks in the morning now I'll blame one of the kids :D

In the past I have removed the top and tried moving catch. This didn't work and there was something simple (I think) but I just can't remember what.

This is certainly how you used to be able to open a Hotpoint washing machine, so I would guess Bosch has a similar arrangement

or failing that use a crowbar or a sledgehammer:p

As this is about the third time that catch has broken (which is why I know there is a simple solution that I can't remember) this is starting to look like the prefered option!!!!

Can you take a picture of what remains of the handle on the washing machine and post it on here? That might provide an insight into how the door may be opened. If you do go into the machine via removing the top PLEASE DO UNPLUG THE MACHINE FIRST, there are likely to be a lot of exposed contacts in there if the machine were still plugged into the mains, I speak from electrifying experience zzzzzzzzzzzzzzztttttttttttttt
