Just want to thank you for posting this thread - i first read it in the RBS section - as it really inspires you not to give up.

Jjust wondering if you have an address for the Executive Complaint team as think I might give them one last try before taking legal route. Also, your brother seems like such a sympathetic guy so if I write direct to him I might get the reply I am looking for!!

I don't think it's a good idea to do that - don't reveal any information that might lead to him being disciplined if he gets found out. Just write to the department, otherwise we might lose a good source of inside information.

Jeep (The Wife & I)

Halifax joint a/c (£3800 charges + £40 interest on charges over 11 years) - paid in full 23/06/06

Halifax joint a/c new charges £1100 - LBA sent 02/08/06

Halifax 2nd a/c (£1500 charges + £150 interest on charges) - partial payment received 13/07/06 (no s69 interest) - AQ filed 07/08/06 - Court awarded 50% of s69 interest (Bank didn't turn up!)

Halifax Visa (#1) Data Protection Act sent - statements arrived - £350 so far

Halifax Visa (#2) Data Protection Act sent - refunded £170

I know, I was only kidding. Totally understand that giving out his personal details could jeopardise his job. I was really just looking for an address where the executive complaints department is based so I could write direct to them instead of some customer relations dept who dont seem to have a lot of authority?....

I have only just asked for RBS to reduce my rate but when i telephoned them the other day they said it was a no and that they will be replying to my letter saying so. Would it be worth me sending another letter to this address asking again for a rate reduction as obviously if your a NEW customer you get that great introductory rate but i cannot transfer the balance as my credit score is screwed and i know people on this site have asked this and got reduced rates.

Data request sent in and supplied. Claim letter followed with 14 days to respond. I am making a modest £140 claim but with compound interest its probably double that! Now about to send LBA.

Tried to ring the Executive complaints team to cut out the letter writing and was given the following number 01702 371247. Turns out thats the Ombudsman complaint number and they are going to get someone to ring me back today?? We'll see!
