Ther DWP sent me a letter that arrived on Xmas Eve saying that my JSA claim is now in doubt claiming I didn't apply for a job at Spec Savers back in early November. Actually I remember this one quite clearly as I went in-store, took an application, completed it in the coffee shop a few doors down, and then returned it to the girl in there within an hour.

Now they are threatening to stop my claim.

Has anyone else had any experiance with this? What usually happens?

I like to think I have a better record than most when it come to applying for jobs and have even signed up for training through the local college and volunteer schemes off my own back.

It seems crazy that I am held at fault because a company has seemingly "lost" my application.

I ring up companies all the time to track my appkication and half the time they claim to have never received an application.

They checked the jobs that u applied for?

They never checked any of them that i applied for! And I have applied for 30 jobs each week. I think you should challange their claim! Its not fair when you try all you can and some one makes one tiny mistake and you end up in the wrong!!!
