Hi,

I've recieved from Lloyds what appears to be a default notice - except its titled "Enforcement Notice"

Are these two things one and the same?

Thanks

A default notice must state that it is " A DEFAULT NOTICE Served Under Section 87(1) of the Consumer Credit Act 1974." Or it's not a DN IMO.

This one says

AN ENFORCEMENT NOTICE Served Under Section 87(1) of the Consumer Credit Act 1974

Other than that it looks exactly like a DN.

Hi Mondeo,

The rules covering the layout and content of DNs are the same as those covering Enforcement Notices i.e. Consumer Credit (Enforcement, Default and Termination Notices) 1983.

So I don't think they are one and the same. Can In ask what it relates to (O/D, card loan) and is there any suggestion of what it is 'enforcing'.

And just bumping ya, i'm intrigued now. :)

Well it seems to be a Lloyds thing and it appears that it is followed by a DN soon after.

A couple of threads for you,

If someone has anything to add............
