I used to be with Tesco for my Land Line, I set up a DD to pay they did not collect.

The bill is about £500 I have switch suppliers and the debt has been passed to first revenue assurance.

I wanted some advice on what to put in a letter to them to set up some kind of repayment £1 a month or so, or if there is anyway of writing off the debt as I have great difficulty paying.

Hang on - you used the services, no payment was taken and now you expect to repay this off in 30 years or so...? YOu're really having a laugh!

In view of the amount they will probably take you to court (more of a certainty if you managfed to avoid agreeing to send your details to a CRA. However, if this IS the case, your credir file will be fried.

Not collecting the DD is not any defence a consumer can use, they must pay for the services consumed. If you put forward a REALISTIC repayment scheme (or borrow the cash) you might be able to rescue the situation.

Repayment plan it is then, borrowing cash not so smart move.

Thanks for the advice.
