OK, 1st shot across the bows - prelim letter sent to reclaim charges on my wife's account. I'll keep events posted as they develop. Been lurking here for a while but not posted before - lots of good advice and info!

Hi zootstax , welcome to the forum :)

 

This looks like the usual template letter , maybe inflated a bit to cover the approaching judgement (on 25th) ..... but basically it's the normal 'we are right and you are wrong' bumph ..... :rolleyes:

 

However , I would give them the full period to reply , (if that's next Wednesday , it IS the 25th I think :))... That way they can't say you didn't give them fair time to reply ....

 

Come back anytime and ask if you're in any doubt , someone will answer , and we're user -friendly . :D

Right, given them an extra 2 weeks but now sending LBA. Phone calls started yesterday and today from those nice people on the other side of the world, told them to put it in writing and not to call again as the account was now legally in dispute. Bewilderment ensued......

 

A question that springs to mind is, if and when we go to court do we need the original Terms and Conditions from when the account was taken out, or current, or both? Also, will I be able to represent my wife? I should know this as I've worked as an advocate.....
