So I'm just back from town with a PCN for failing to pay and display. Incredibly annoyed as I could not see any sign advising me I needed to otherwise I would have paid the 80p or whatever it was.

I am, admittedly, in the wrong here but I thought I'd check and see if there's anything I can do to fight this.

Cheers.

If it makes any difference it was Dundee City Council who issued the ticket.

A council PCN cannot be ignored. Your only chance to avoid paying it may be an appeal based on the lack of signage (which presumably wasn't good as you say you didn't see any)
