I have been renting a property for 2 and half yrs . I have not signed a contract for the last six months and would like to know if when i move out i will still have to give a months notice as stipulated in the original contract ? any adivce would be greatfully appriciated .

If your on a periodic tenancy you will need to give one months notice before or on the day of rent. (I would usually suggest a couple of days before). When you are out of a fixed period AST (Assured Shorthold Tenancy) it rolls over to periodic AST regardless.

Ex-Retail Manager who is happy to offer helpful advise in many consumer problems based on my retail experience. Any advise I do offer is my opinion and how I understand the law.
