Hi,

Trying to help someone with reduced payments on an abbey cc.

Got a letter from Viking collections, has anyone had dealings with them?

Looks like they're part of Abbey (like mercers & bcard) but just wanted to see if anyone else knows of them and what they're like

Thank you

BM

Yes Viking Services is part of GE, now Santander.

You can arrange a payment plan with the Viking advisors for reduced payments. If you could settle in full then you could arrange a discount on the balance of the account usually 10 - 20 %.

Dont be afraid by the fact that you have a Viking letter or telephone call. This is not a special company or even a seperate department it is the regular collections department just trying on extra pressure.

If you really have financial difficulties advise them. They will then send you an income and expendature form and your account will be put on hold for 30 days while you return that to the financial solutions unit.

Once the financial solutions agree a plan the interest and charges may stop.
