My MP has been fantastic and has written to Terry Moran last friday, to which he has written that he concerned at the apparent lack of urgency on the part of the PDCS :), and wants him to resolve this case as a matter of urgency.

I informed him today that there is still no paperwork or payment.

I will admit it is causing us hardship, as until the DLA is formally sorted, my carer's allowance wont get paid

Hi, I won my ESA appeal but have been told that it takes 4-5 weeks for the information to be processed by DWP. It doesnt take that long for them to stop the money does it?

The whole system is so far behind, its a mad way to carry on.

I am due to send in a sick note next week if I had not won my appeal, we will see how many reminder letters I get for that, they will probably stop my money if I dont send one.

I will send a copy of my appeal outcome instead an see what happens.

hi,i won my appeal for ib last oct 09 but my ib wasn`t re-instated till dec 18th,dwp asked for sor after the tribunal, and they wrote and told me a decision would be made within a month of receiving this and they would notify me when they had reached a decision, they never did,my rep had to chase it up,its disgusting how they treat people ,and get away with it,they might be bogged down with work but i bet they would soon find time to send out letters if we owed them money!!!!!!!

According to the DWP there was a DLA payment issued on the 21st of May, so it should be in his account by Friday at the latest.

So we will patiently wait to see what happens, then start the complaint.

OK total shock, the money has hit the bank account!!!!!:D
Great news, thanks.

Paul.

I'm not a qualified welfare rights adviser, but I'm planning on becoming one. I'm no substitute for more competent advice from trained CAB and welfare rights workers - see this post by Joa, great advice and links! I've been running a Crisis Loan campaign and help since Jan 2007 . See my annotations c/o "theyworkforyou". I'm also currently interested by the recent DWP Medical Services reform and the effect this is having on valid claims, seriously - someone needs to be keeping a suicide count.

Hi,

i don't come on here often but found your thread through searching Welfare Reform Act.

I read it with a lot of interest and an untold amount of disgust at the way DWP/ATOS treated you and your son! I'm just glad you won your case in the end and like many others, believe it's high time ATOS were fired/disbanded/terminated as they seem to have about as much medical knowledge as my left toenail (which doesn't exist!)!!!

Seems like i have most of this to look forward to - i've been on ESA for 3 years now and following information from the specialist last week will now be claiming DLA. Just for fun, i have another ESA assessment next week!

Keep fighting for your back-benefit and if i were you, i would go for some sort of stress-related compensation as well - perhaps one of those "no win,no fee" compo firms could help with that!
