no they have 28 days to say they will defend, then a further to file their defence ....but 3 weeks after they said they would defend they paid us

Oh you all have me confused here!!! :lol:

 

You serve the claim.

 

They have 14 days to acknowledge from the date it was deemed served.

If they don't acknowledge in that time, you can go for judgement

 

If they do acknowledge with intent to defend, they have 28 days from the date it was deemed served, so in effect a further 14 days from what they were originally given.

THANKS DOLLY.............I DONE MY MONEYCLAIM ONLINE ON THE 18THJULY. ITS WAS DEEMED SERVED ON THE 24TH JULY. IT WAS ACKNOWLEDGED ON THE 26th SAYING THEY INTEND DEFENDING........SO WHAT DATE DO THEY HAVE TIL?I MAKE IT THURSDAY 21ST .PLEASE TELL ME IM CORRECT? IM WELL CONFUSED BEFORE I THOUGHT IT WAS 24TH AUGUST THANKS

24th July + 28 days, so ....... yes, 21st August :) But Monday, not Thursday. :lol:

Don't email them...just sit tight and then on the 22nd (as they have technically until midnight), press the judgement button.

 

They will be aware of it though and I bet you are all settled by then.
