hi, should i have heard anything off halifax by now?how long do they take usally to responde on average ? my money claim still sez issued nothing else? should i be waiting for a phone call or letter? thanks alot to anyone who knows

You'll probably get a letter from Halifax about the same time that you get notification that they intend to defend from the court. The letter will be to say that it's not worth the cost of defending. They have 14 days from the date of serving to file to defend, and if they do, they extend that deadline by a further 14 days.

Halifax joint a/c new charges £1100 - LBA sent 02/08/06

Halifax 2nd a/c (£1500 charges + £150 interest on charges) - partial payment received 13/07/06 (no s69 interest) - AQ filed 07/08/06 - Court awarded 50% of s69 interest (Bank didn't turn up!)

Halifax Visa (#1) Data Protection Act sent - statements arrived - £350 so far

Halifax Visa (#2) Data Protection Act sent - refunded £170

Yep, they should pay out in the next week or so although they will sometimes take it to the 28th day! Keep checking your account, make sure when yoiu get credited that it's for the FULL amount of your claim (including interest, costs, etc.) BEFORE you inform the court of settlement.

Hi........... just an update ive heard nothing yet of halifax but if im correct they have til the 24th of august to file a defense.im looking at getting my suit out ready for court!lol. have you heard anything yet clayts? cheers m8 (halifax are on bbc news now telling the world how much profit they made in the 1st quater.................BAST**DS!) i only want whats mine, nothing more, nothing less.....

hi......well they aint having it jeep!!!!!!!! as soon as i get my money back ill be claiming against cap1 and ill sort out my lass,s out with the halifax too. i had to deposit £200 in her account in charges(unlawful as you know) just so they would let her close it!!!im not in a good mood today as you can proberly tell..

With a closed account it does seem to take them longer.

Its your choice as to whether or not you call them but I really would not expect to see any benefit from doing so.

 

You can be sure that they are running out of time so having waited this long,I would sit tight.

hi martain, i rang them but played that i wanted to know if i should send them my schedule of charges?spoke to a girl called rachel, so she said to email her with it because her collegue was taking care of my claim,so did this. she emailed me back saying thanks and shes forwarded it to her collegue who,s dealing with it asap so looking like its prompted them in action lol (heres hoping)

Hi All................. Well Halifax Have 10days Left As My Moneyclaim Was Deemed Served On The 24th July, 10days And Counting ! Believe Me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone Been Paid Today? (im Getting Pis**d Off Abit Now Its Summer Holidays Could Do With Spoiling The Kids)i Did Speak To A Women On Wednesday From Halifax Solitors Who Said That If My Schedule Of Charges Matched Their Records There Shoulnt Be A Problem And Theyed Get In Touch!! Well Im Waiting Still. Any Thoughts Anyone? Would Be Appreciated, Thanks:)

srry mechs..... what do u mean, i have read ya thread but didnt see it. they sent me a letter saying they intend to defend but nothing else.no A&C ? so what now happens if they dont do nothing within the days they have left?
