Hi all,

My brother received a letter from Marstons today. He was stupidly driving for a few days without insurance and long story cut short, it has eventually come to this.

I haven't dealt with these people before so just curious what he should do?

The fine is £310 and it says bailiff fees £50.

It also asks for full payment within 7 days or 'our bailiffs will attend to levy distress and remove goods for sale by public auction. This action will involve minimum further costs of £175'.

So does that mean they can charge this even if he doesn't let them in? He lives in flats with an intercom entrance and all of the goods are in his girlfriend's name. He doesn't have the car anymore either so they can't levy on that.

Any advice much appreciated!

Thanks
