Hi,

After receiving a CCJ four weeks ago, firstly I received a letter from some company asking if they can help to get the CCJ removed? and today for the first time ever, I received a letter from Provident asking do I want a loan for £500.00

Are solicitors/dca/courts allowed to give out your information like this? Clearly my details have been sold on to somewhere by someone. Is this allowed? or where would they get this information from if not given to them by the above?

Your thoughts as always would be appreciated.

Many thanks

More than likely it was a DCA, although CCJs are a matter of public record.

Make sure you do not post anything which identifies you. Although we can remove certain things from the site unless it's done in a timely manner everything you post will appear in Google cache & we do not have any control over that.
