That Bailiff's on Friday removed the vehicle registered to my Husband for an outstanding PCN in my name.. despite me being at a Stage 2 Complaint with the Council who issued the PCN..

 

And now we're looking at a massive fight on hour hands to get his vehicle back, as the Bailiff company have said they were within their rights to take the car - and told the Council the same, and the Council have believed them!

Surely this is theft. They can't take another person's property for your alleged debt.

 

Call the police, and don't get fobbed off if they say it's a civil matter. It isn't. It's theft.

Little update on the break, it is a "Spiral Fracture" (Which is as bad as it sounds!!) on her tibia. The doc said to imagine what a piece of celery would look like if you twisted it.

 

A little bit of trivia... this is also common in children that have been abused. So you can imagine the 20 questions the doc's gave us! (and rightly so as the break is caused by twisting the limb violently... I don't know how the doctors restrain themselves when they think it is abuse!!) They did say that they're happy that this isn't the case, but they obviously needed to make sure.

 

So, she has a full leg cast on tonight, and is going back tomorrow to see a specialist. She is in a lot of pain, but not a great deal can be done about that.

Oh my lord!! The poor little lamb!! I hope she's ok. Sounds a bit like what my brother did when he was in the scouts (the celery break). They went skiing on dry slopes and his ski got stuck. The boot is supposed to come off when that happens but for whatever reason it didn't. My poor brother's body was sent twisting round, but his foot didn't! It was a very very nasty break and took a while to heal. He did heal though, and I think lots of attention helped him get through it. I do hope she's ok. Sending healing thoughts

I've had a bit of a sleepless weekend, as some of you might know I had a nightmare of a neighbour who we suspected of being a prostitute and her son was kind of left to get on with it, they finally moved out around October/November last year. New neighbours moved in a couple of weeks ago. A young girl and her baby.

 

The weekend she moved in, my daughter had a sleep over with a couple of her friends but out of common courtesy, she called round to the neighbour's and said, we are having a party, it might get a bit loud so if it disturbs you just knock and we will turn it down. The fact that my partner and I was in the same house as my daughters party and managed to get to and stay asleep from midnight onwards gives you a clue as to how quiet my daughter and her friends were.

 

This Friday night around 11.30 we started to hear and feel drum and base music blaring from next door, the room was vibrating due to the base obviously being turned up to max, it was so loud we couldnt hear the television and gave up trying to watch anything. I aways think the best of people and thought at the time that it must have been her housewarming and that she was only young, first time in a new home probably moved from her mothers home and enjoying a bit of freedom. I tried not to get too angry as the party moved outside and people were congregating under my bedroom window to shout at each other because they couldnt talk normally due to the volume of the music.

 

It was obvious that someone (more than one or two) was smoking marijuana (as an ex art student, I have been exposed to the odour before ...but not partaken you understand) the smell was so strong it was as if someone was smoking it in our room. This went on until three am when they finally disbanded and all went quiet. I finally fell asleep and was rudely awaken by my alarm four hours later to go to work! I was exhausted and had to keep drinking coffee and getting up and walking around so that I didnt smack my head on my screen as I fell asleep!

 

When I got home I did some halfhearted housework safe in the knowledge that I could at least get a good nights sleep that night.......7pm the music started blaring again and cars started streaming up the cul de sac and offloading more and more party goers!!!!!! at four am I was considering calling the police but had visions of a clash with the police and all my windows being put in!!!! It really was a nightmare...I was fit to kill someone on Sunday morning.

 

I waited until the last of all the party goers had woken up and stumbled down the hill and went round, I tried my best to be civil and not too confrontational as I didnt want to over react due to sleep deprevation but her total lack of concern that I had had only five hours sleep since Friday morning sent me into orbit. I am afraid i swore at her and made my feelings obvious.

 

Despite having an early night last night I still feel like death today and find myself nodding at my screen...i just hope i dont snore!!!!!!!!

We reported them to the relevant authorities as well and nothing was ever done. They would go on night after night week after week. You would be forgiven for thinking that they had no jobs or kids - WRONG! They all had young kids and jobs but were hell bent on partying 'til the small hours. They often left the kids inside alone. Can't remember which year it was but we had a long spell of dryish weather.

 

Eventually we cut our losses and moved out. Luckily we had a part ex on a new build so didn't have to worry about disclosing the bad neighbour problem.

Ooh, that's a good thought BB, the part ex thing. I want to move one day away from ours (as soon as is possible!!) but have often worried about selling the house. We already said when we do escape we won't be able to put a for sale sign, it would be like waving a red flag at a bull, and I can't imagine anyone wanting to live next to them. Well, nobody with morals or respect anyway.

This was encouraged by them telling me my dd could reduce from 60.00 to 40.00 becaue to be honest I was a little confused of what these packages ivolve. Seem the same to me free eve and weekend calls but they want to tie you in for period now.

 

Anyhow they assessed the drop in dd on my account, fair enough. Three weeks later as said no change in call costs but dd increased from the 40.00 back up to 57.00:eek:

 

Anotherwords this woman I feel peed about with me and shoudnt have altered the dd as account was apparantly in debit at the time.

 

I know how I can save call costs, stop ringing the bleeding council, get them to ring me 10.00 to chase repairs. Phoned so back on original no contract terms and agreed I would have been paying tha same ammount a month linerental on new contract with no savings to me as I use phone mostly daytime. So back on original eve and weekend conditions.

 

Be careful I get the impression they are encouraged to change to this contract, she politely said, they are encouraged to look into the accounts. Uhm fine if its not painted to be someut else xx

 

Told me saving 20.00 all she did was stupidly lower dd when shouldnt as I owed them money, hecky thump.

So you were on free evening and weekends, and they changed you to something else that is the same as free evening and weekends? I think I know what they've done here... they can give you evening and weekends for the same price as the weekend only, but you need to sign into a rolling contract!

Hi locutus, thanks for reply. I was already of free eve and weekend but not on a contract, I was told they signed me to the exact same product but 12 monthly contract. Diff is if I wanted to leave now, no fee and just change over, the new one would mean I have to pay 12 months line rental:mad: They have reversed it thankfully and sending it in writing.

 

At least they admitted they were saving me nothing and changing me to same contract and not in my interest.

 

Probably find though eventually all will change to rolling 12 month contract rather than what I am on. It will probably sneak in.

 

I think its just to discourage changing providers as not saving me anything. But I am thinking of changing once my broadband 18 month is up now....if I can get it cheaper.

 

Thats down to them hoodwinking me. Was told they do not get commision on it, but I think there must be somethin in it. She definatley went ott on saying saving 20.00.

Just heard the our local airport (Aberdeen) is closed until 2.30pm tomorrow and even then its up for review!!!

 

Im smiling at it though since im only a 5 minute walk from it and can see the planes landing and taking off closely, its been nice and quiet today.
