Hi, When I was a student Abbey gave me a overdraft and every year they increased it without asking me or telling me. Now they have written to me decreasing it from £1600 to £500 within 2 months. Needless to say as a former student and with other debt I live in my overdraft.

Can they do this? Especially considering I never asked for the repeated increases over the 3 years.

Would really appreciate anyones help.

The answer is yes they can do this. Or did you not use the increased overdraft?

When did you stop studying?

I used it like all students and finished studying in 2007 and still live in the overdraft due to low wage and paying other debts.
