So basically i took out a loan with welcome in october 2006. aboot a year into the loan i was made redundant. I have nw got a dmp in place (in control) paing 50 a month (even though im on the dole and its killin me). The dmp people asked welcome if i had ppi or any other insuance, they said no. I have since found the oriinal paper work and i have infact ot ppi AND lifecare 24. I remeber aving a VERY brief phonecall with them and they basically said no ppi and lifecare no loan.

Does anybody now what my first action would be?

thanks alot

Ohand before i was made redundant i missed one payment and the sent to heavies round to my house at 3am they hammered on my front dor and i went down and was threatened, scared half to death, then charged 60 for the pleasure!!!!

i took out the loan in october 2006. After being made redundant around 1 year into making payments to them i fell into debt and took out a dmp with in control finance (avoid!) the dmp told me they had asked welcome if i had ppi. they said no. I have recently found the old cca, with some pages missing. the agreement sdays i do have ppi and lifecare 24 (???!!)

well you certainly have a case for reclaiming the mis-sold ppi!

you didn't want it but were told you must take it out?

Also I notice you seem to have a 60 month Lifecare policy to go with a 36 month credit agreement. That is very likely to make some of the figures go seriously awry (I have not gone through them with a calculator myself though).

I can feel Postggj smiling now!

hi zararh

first thing phone these people

they are welcomes partner in crime on these micky mouse insurance policies

just say you had a welcome loan and ask if they have any insurance products on file

just because its on the agreement does not mean you have it , if you get my drift

softly softly catchy monkey

i payed them a £80 fee then got this from yes:

welcome2001-2.jpg

I then had a very brief phone call with welcome. I remeber having a very vague conversation wih them about the ppi. they told me if i was made redundant etc i would be covered. I told them i didnt want it and they said "no ppi no loan" to be honest at the time i was desperate. then when i was made redundant i rang them to make a claim and they told me the ppi didnt cover me losing my job?!?!?

i signed the agreement from welcome in october 2006 and started paying one month after recieving the loan amount (1,250) which was roughly recieved two weeks after signing. i remeber signing there copy but not my own. Oh and i never recieved a copy with there sig on it.
