Sky - what are my rights to cancel?

i have Sky+ and multiroom, subscription is everything except movies

 

i recently received 2 new Sky viewing cards

 

the multiroom card is not working - it states 'this viewing card is not authorised' and only displays channels 1 to 4.

 

i rang Sky who told me that it will be working in 2 hours. of course it wasnt, so i called them back to be told it will be working within 24 hours.

 

nothing changed, so i have emailled them explaining that they are in breach of contract, as i am paying for a service that i am not receiving.

 

do i have grounds to cancel the account, whilst its still in-contract?

If you have had the skyplus and multiroom more than 12 months then yes.

 

if you still have you rold card for the multiroom, put it back in, switch of the box for 10 mins then back on. You should start getting the message please insert new vc then put the new one back in and it should start working

and to add after doing the above if you still have the same problem, do a call bak on the box,

 

 

services, 4, 0 1 select, new installation, select twice and wait for installation complete

thanks for the info, unfortunately i have tried these but to no avail

 

I am still in contract until November but surely they are in breach of contract, as I am paying for a service I am not getting?

they have a clause that thiswould unforseeable or that the corrce tprocess has not been followed to activate your new card.

 

if you wanted to cancel then it would need to be in wiriting but ifthey have sent the signals and the above hasn't work then they will replace the card and should be resolved.

You DID put the right cards into the correct boxes....? You have to match the right card/box otherwise the swap won't work.
