Don't the banks have someone who is to do with legal compliance?

Can you not inform them that they are continuing to allow the bank to break the law?, then if they fail to act...litigate against them?

Just a thought, any ideas?

I don't think that the charges have been proved illegal yet (I may be wrong) due to the banks caving in before a court hearing.

As such they can state that they haven't been proven to have broken the law, and any suggestion to the contrary would be considered defamatory. It might also explain why I saw 'Published Overdraft Tariff = £35' on Lloyds website yesterday...but it's early days yet...

Imagine walking into a shop.

"please give me £30"

Cashier - "why"

"Because I just made a management decision not to buy a packet of fags"

or

"My automated decision making system decided to buy a newspaper you haven't got in stock"

...but did they agree that they were going to supply said fags/paper before you needed to make that management decision...and then didn't...?

However, it does highlight the absurdity of the situation, as I am sure that if you tried that on with some Saturday staff you would leave the shop £30 richer...
