In April this year a Sky agent came knocking at my door, as we where interested, we looked at the packages and decided to go with them for TV, Phone and Broadband at a cost of £27.50 per month, the TV was installed 4 days later and we had dates for the phone installation 2 weeks later, 3 days where put aside as requested by sky, no one materalised to do the work. The following week we called Sky in order to cancel the contract, well within the 30days notification as per contract, stating that their TV service was awful, due to the picture stopping for minutes at a time and that the phone installation hadn't been carried out as per the dates that they had issued.

We was told on the phone that the cancellation was accepted and could we back this up with a letter of confirmation, which we did, as the letter was received by sky a couple of days outside the 30days, they refused to accept the cancellation and would not accept the previous phone conversation as cancellation, although their contract states that it is acceptable. Because of the inconvience caused sky informed us that a Credit of £27.50 would be credited to our sky account.

Which by my reckoning would mean that april-may subscription is covered by our initial payment, june-july subscription covered by the credit. However sky seems to think differently, I have received 3 requests for an out standing payment which I believe are to cover june-july, and today have received a letter from wescot demanding this payment.

I have sent them letters, that state their own contract and also my consumer rights, which they have not acknowledge receipt of and I am loathe to ring them again as the last time, involved an idiot who stated that It was not my right to cancel the contract. FULL STOP.

this, for the past 3 months has caused me stress, upset and confusion, I have abided by their contract and followed their requests and I am now receiving debt collection letters.

All I want is them to go away and leave me alone, I don't know how I can get them to do this as they keep erecting brick walls, please is there anyone that can get them off my back, without being drawn into an even longer battle.

The sky service to my home has been cancelled (june) and I have not had a phone line fitted or received broadband.

Sorry for the long post.
