I have been reading many of the threads and I haven;t been able to work out if claimants have been doing NPV calculations when claiming back charges from the past, or is this covered by a different calcualtion?

E.G. they too k £30.00 in 2001 that is probably equivelent to 40.00 today and this is what should be claimed.

It is covered by the statutory 8% (per annum), which represents the opportunity cost of not having had that cash in the past.

NPV calculations only apply to future cash flows.
