Littlewoods have been calling my daughters' telephone, several times a day for the past few weeks. Obviously she cannot pass the security questions and they will give her no further information. We have told them on all occasions that this is a new occupier - it is the address and/or telephone number they are quoting but nothing like my daughters' name. With so little to go on, what can we do!! My daughter is partially deaf and so is not able to catch the name they request, but she hears enough to know it is not her name and she has never dealt with Littlewoods.

The only person entitled to your Personal Finance details is a Judge not a DCA

 

Move all banking activity to another banking group if you have a dispute - your funds can be used to offset debts within the same group.

Be careful with Banking details (card/account numbers) as these can be used to take unauthorised payments.

Write something along the lines of.....(below) and send this recorded to the Chief Executive/Chairman of Littlewoods (a google should reveal the MD or Chairman.....)

 

Dear Sir / Madam.

 

It is with great concern I write with regard to your company's behaviour. Over the last (x) weeks your company has made many calls asking for a previous resident.

 

Despite not being able to answer the security questions and never having had any kind of account with Littlewoods and obviously due to me not being the person you are seeking, I am now of the opinion that this is now pure harrassment in direct breach of CPUTR2008. I'm sure I have no need to remind you of the recent case of Ferguson vs British Gas

 

What I require.

 

An apology from your company in light of the distress and upset this has caused.

 

Confirmation that you will NOT call me again.

 

If you do not reposnd with your official complaints procedure I will have no hesitation in informing Trading Standards, The Office Of Fair Trading and my MP of your behaviour. And if I have to write to you again I will charge your company £12 for having to carry out research into consumer and harrassment law and taking time out to write again.

 

I trust this makes my position perfectly clear.
