    • DCBL are bailiffs, and like "debtors" to know this in the hope we will wet ourselves.   However, in this case they are not acting as bailiffs but just as rent-a-threats writing silly letters, so just to cover themselves write on the back of their letters that there is no bailiff action.     Yes, the site accepts images, if you click on upload a simple guide will tell you how to redact your personal details and upload the documents as a PDF.   The point of the SARs was just as a belt & braces approach to make sure you had as much info. as possible before going for the set aside.  When you have time, please post up what you propose to write on the set aside application.
    • They must be adding fees  is there a breakdown on that letter?   Wonder if they will try to inflate it to the magic £600?  They can't add anything to the judgment amount
    • im not sure if this is the case but you could be right, i will upload the letter for a better understanding. BRS did want to fix the wall privately then went cold on me when i give details of damage. When i found who the insurers were they suddenly contacted me giving excuses why they started ignoring me, i said no im going through your insurance for security plus you let me down the first time.  ive got a funny feeling that BRS and the insurers are a "in it together bunch" BRS probably spend a fortune on insurance their part of the volvo group. it was strange that when i contacted BRS and said "no deal" allianz contacted me and said It was insured by QBE insurance   Askmid says that "there are valid operational reasons why more than one policy may appear on the database for a given date". "We therefore suggest you contact each insurer identified to establish which insurer/policy should respond to your claim". ( i will upload letter soon)
    • Re the meat processing plant virus outbreaks, think I have read that the virus likes a cooler temperature range.  Which may be why some scientists have predicted that northern hemisphere countries may see a second wave in the Autumn.     Hopefully this won't happen as I think enough damage has already been done and I dread to  think of the consequences of further national lock downs.

    • Hi,
I was in Sainsbury’s today and did scan and shop.
I arrived in after a busy day at work and immediately got distracted by the clothes.
I put a few things in my trolley and then did a shop.
I paid and was about to get into my car when the security guard stopped me and asked me to come back in.
I did and they took me upstairs.
I was mortified and said I forgot to scan the clothes and a conditioner, 5 items.
I know its unacceptable but I was distracted and Initially hadn’t really planned to use scan and shop.
      No excuse.
I offered to pay for the goods but the manager said it was too late.
He looked at the CCTV and because I didn’t try to scan the items he was phoning the police.
The cost of the items was about £40.
I was crying at this point and told them I was a nurse, just coming from work and I could get struck off.
They rang the police anyway and they came and issued me with a community resolution notice, which goes off my record in a year.
I feel terrible. I have to declare this to my employer and NMC.
They kept me in a room on my own with 4 staff and have banned me from all stores.
The police said if I didn’t do the community order I would go to court and they would refer me to the PPS.
      I’m so stressed,
can u appeal this or should I just accept it?
      Thanks for reading

Provident Financial, the doorstep lender that offers cash-strapped households emergency loans, drew criticism from charities yesterday as it reported a 3.5 per cent rise in profits.

Barnardo’s, the children’s charity, accused Provident of driving poor families into “worrying levels of debt” and called for an inquiry into doorstep lending practices.

It said that Provident, one of the biggest home credit providers in the UK and Ireland, charged “extortionate” annual percentage rates of up to 545 per cent to hard-up borrowers.

The Bradford-based lender made a profit of £53.1 million in the first half of 2009, up 3.5 per cent on a year ago. In a sign that borrowers are becoming more desperate as unemployment rises, the group reported that customer numbers across the UK and Ireland had risen by 5.3 per cent to 2.1 million in the first half of 2009.
