Hi everyone, i am just waiting for statements from the Halifax and figured i may as well proceed with Capital One while waiting. I was just wondering if anyone new the address to send the prem. letter.

surely someone has the correct address, all i have is a p.o box address. I have seen the Legal Compliance specialist address at the top of this forum but it says this is for the DPA letter. I already have my statements so i just want to send the prem letter, but where to? Please help.

Thank you very much for the reply, i have used that address. Popped it in the post about 5 ish. Theres no going back now, im absolutely terrified, never done anything like this before, may have nervous breakdown before its over.

Don't worry I've done exactly the same thing and sent my request for the statements this week.

 

It might be worth asking them if they have any proof that you requested Payment Protection Insurance as well, if they can't prove it you could ask for that back as well.

Sent my prem. letter on Thursday by recordered delivery tried tracking it and it still says its on its way. The letter says i give them 14 days but 14 days from when? The date that it on the letter (the day it was sent) or 14 days from when they actualy recieve it, which is taking a while to be fair.

14 days from the date of your letter. Your letter may have been delivered already even though the tracking doesn't show that.

 

Don't bother using Recorded Delivery in future - just an ordinary First Class stamp will do.

Hi i posted my prem. letter to capital one just over a week ago but i have heard nothing is this normal.

Perfectly. I had no reply to my prelim or LBA and filed my claim against them this week. I imagine they will reply to that!!

Hi i have had a letter from capital one saying they have refunded me £40.00 as a matter of good will and that " When we opened your accoun, on 18 February 2006, we sent you a credit card agreement which stated these fees. By signing and returning this to us, you areed to the terms and conditions for the account"

Im just wondering if i did. I did sign the contract but im not sure if i just signed to fees or if they actually stated the price of these fees. What do i do?

these fees are now illegal, and I know that as at 23rd august they were still charging £20 even though they have been told by OFT that these fees have to change, so go after all that they owe you
