Hi,

we are buying a few months before we go bankrupt.

Barclays have closed our old account and sold it to Scotcall.

Can we still CCA these people as you would a credit card?

It was a current account with overdraft.

Thanks

Martin

Hi

Bank accounts and overdrafts are not covered by CCA's.

All you can do is SAR them to get back any charges on the account.

Regards

David

You would need to send a sar which would cost £10 & they would have 40 days to provide all the data they hold on your a/cs.; http://www.consumerforums.com/resources/templates-library/86-debt-collectors/576-subject-access-request-debt-a-dca

There's no hard and fast rule, some can take years literally, others within a few months.
