Hi Guys,

Just got off the phone with EDF. I am on the energy assist tariff and have been for a few months.

Just been told that the scheme changed in April/May? and that the "discounts" were amended.

Are you sitting down?

Right, It was the case that I would receive 15% off all my usage ie. band A, B and night units.

According to the operative I've just spoken to, now I can expect to receive 15% off my band A units only!!!

15% off my most expensive 1000 units of the year!!!

A life changing reduction of £39 per Year.....WOWEEE.

Even after jumping through all the hoops to get it.

Is this correct?

Are they having a laugh?

If you get EDF energy assist, have you had any warning of this?

It could be a load of tosh from the operative, but what a clanger if its untrue.

Maybe they just don't like me:(, ......nobody else does.

Bill

If this turns out to be "pork pies" I will want some compo!!!

Hi,

I have now received the EDF energy assist leaflet.

Energy assist customers will now get a reduction of;

4.38p off standard band A tariff (first 900 units pa).

Or-

3.94p off band A economy 7 (first 1000 units pa).

1.47p off a gas unit.

Upto a maximum discount of £37.50pa per fuel, per year.

Plus;

Direct debit discount, even if you don't use DD of;

£16.80pa for gas.

£8.40pa for electric.

£25.20pa dual fuel discount (if you are a duel fuel customer, you get all three).

Maximum discount is now £125.40pa

This adds up to about 10% of my yearly fuel bills.

Bill
