Hi.

I believe cheques are made payable to 'CTP' (standing for 'Cash 'Til Payday').

The problem is, it is normal for them to put your cheque guarantee details on the reverse of the cheque and you are always told to leave the date blank. There is usually no way to cancel a guaranteed cheque, though I could be wrong.

If the cheque is to be presented tomorrow, they usual hope you will go in and extend (roll-over) the 'loan' by paying cash / debit card up until noon on the same day.

EDIT: You are also allowed to 'settle' the cheque, whereby you will be handed it back upon payment of it's face value. This again can usually be done up until noon on the same day as it's due to be banked.
