I have student loan from 1993 can this be statute barred as it was such a long time ago. It was originally 500 pounds now it,s 1000 i have no-way of paying this as i am on incap benefit

If youve had no contact from them and you havent paid anything for more than six years, then you can safely consider the debt to be statute barred.

Yes thank you they were threating to take money from my incap benefit. For the first time in my life i am debt free. And that,s the way it,s going to stay :D;)
