Cabot sent letter admitting MBNA unable to supply signed credit agreement

in relation to 'my account'. Please could someone let me know my next steps? I didn't even write to them requesting it, that is my next step to various creditors, but they had called me and I said that I don't recall the debt so would appreciate them sending me paperwork on it, so I can review. After a lot of 'why don't you just borrow the money to make a payment etc etc', and me reiterating that I need proof of the debt before I do any of that, they hung up saying they would be in touch. About 2/3 weeks later I received the letter saying that they couldn't get the credit agreement.

 

I'll try attaching the letter... I think I have done it?

 

Anyway, any advice on the next steps would be most appreciative.

Dont contact them.

 

I think it would be in your interests to make a formal CCA request, even though Cabot have advised they are unable to supply a copy.

 

You will need the following letter, enclose a £1.00 postal order and DO NOT sign the letter. Just print your name.

Keep the letter you have received from Cabot in a safe place. :)

 

From this point in time, do not speak to them on the telephone, you need to keep everything in writing.
