UK Debt and Legal Services to close - 24/07/2009

http://www.credittoday.co.uk/news/news-item.cfm?news=1254

Debt collection agency UK Debt and Legal Services is to be wound down after a trial rebranding exercise failed.

The agency’s parent company G4S Secure Solutions launched a trial rebranding of UK Debt and Legal as G4S Debt and Legal Services in January this year. But a strategic review in Spring found that the agency was "non core" to G4S and a decision was then made to close the business.

Nice to see that their staff had been well trained in debt collection having been former METER READERS.

Good riddance

I wonder if their lack of a consumer credit licence had any bearing on the closure?
