I am just starting my own thread on Cabot, got a letter from them requesting a review. I have a dmp going over the last 4 years, and now they say they will offer me a substantial discount, if I ring them.

I have CCA'd them yesterday and see what they come back with. Though reading the threads, I don't seem to have a hope of shaking them off. It just goes on and on. I have actually been on a dmp since 2002, and some of my defaults have fallen off my credit report, so hopefully they will not have an agreement. Originally my debt was with Morgan Stanley, who cheerfully upped my limit without even asking????

I doubt if they'll be able to produce it. ;)

I suppose it is a point of principle, that even if I had the money, I would want an enforceable agreement:mad:

Received the usual letter, saying they hope to provide it within 12 days. But my balance has jumped up another £600!!!!!:-x Has this happened to anyone else.... or is it just a bit of finger trouble at headquarters...

They've added it on so they can offer you a 'substantial discount'. How kind of them.

Today I received the usual letter from Cabot, saying they are sorry they have not provided the agreement, but will continue to try and obtain it.... blab, bla, bla.......

I have done the usual letter back saying they have not provided, account now in dispute..... will see what happens, although account is still 600 more than before:-x

Well until they provide the CCA they cannot take any enforcement & they have been kind enough to refuse payment from your dmc, so that saves you the hassle of having to cancel it with them. ;)

How long do they have to get this agreement, years, months or whatever pleases them?
