As Marlin was my reason for joining CAG I would like to be instrumental in the demise of that particular company.

As they don't have their own forum as such I thought it may be an idea if anyone who is having dealings with them, posts a link to their thread on here with a brief description of the circumstances so that we can all help each other, and who knows, maybe between us we can bring them down...or at least make them work extremely hard for very little result..:D

My Thread is...

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/legal-issues/192275-ccj-interest-debt.html

I had a marbles card with HFC, the alleged debt was sold to Phoenix Recoveries in Luxembourg, Marlin were assigned as collectors they weren't happy with my offer of payments so they rushed a claim through Northampton court for CCJ 'with a view to a charging order'

My set aside hearing is in August.

The more people who post threads, the more knowledge about the way they work we can gain and, hopefully, ultimately use it against them

Spam. :)

Any advice I offer is probably useless but there may be little nuggets of gold in there somewhere......If I have helped in any way, be it with knowledge or by giving your chuckle muscle some exercise please feel free to tip my scales....:-D

I have not heard anything since they sent the bankruptcy threat in the second thread.

Hi,

Mine was a GM card. (Owned by HFC).

This was eventually sold to Link Financial.

The rest is, as they say, history.

My thread is here;

Regards, Jeff.

I would have thought that Marlins staff are all looking for new jobs or will be soon!

Perhaps the Big Issue are after some new sales people!
