Hi there!

My husband and I are planning to move to Hertfordshire with our 2 little boys, probably to Sawbridgeworth or to Bishops Stortford.

As the mother of a special needs child and a cronic illness sufferer myself, the quality and availability of NHS treatment is vital to us, however we do not have much information about this area on this respect. So far, we have been well looked after in the boroughs of Westminster and Brent in London, however these areas have became unaffordable for us and need to move out of the city.

Have you had a good/bad experience in this area? Any information about NHS in Hertfordshire would be most appreciated.

Many thanks.

regards,

Carmen

Try "Patient Opinion"

My advice is based on my opinion, my experience and my education. I do not profess to be an expert in any given field. If requested, I will provide a link where possible to relevant legislation or guidance, so that advice provided can be confirmed and I do encourage others to follow those links for their own peace of mind. Sometimes my advice is not what people necesserily want to hear, but I will advise on facts as I know them - although it may not be what a person wants to hear it helps to know where you stand. Advice on the internet should never be a substitute for advice from your own legal professional with full knowledge of your individual case.

Please do not seek, offer or produce advice on a consumer issue via private message; it is against

forum rules to advise via private message, therefore pm's requesting private advice will not receive a response.

I have read patient opinion on my own hospital. There are only 26 replies in all so not a great representation of the local population using these facilities.

In truth the only way you will find out whether the service for your particular need is of any quality, is by using it.

  • 5 months later...

I am making a complaint against a hertfordshire hospital and here's something I have in writting from my first meeting with the hospital staff that's really quiet frightening. For a catchment area covering most of hertfordshire and parts of bedfordshire there is only one theatre avaliable for emergencies, which is why my father waited 17 hrs for a condition that according to the NHS wbsite is life threatening and requires imediate surgery!.
