I seem to be on a bit of a mission at the moment. so far i have got a free broadband upgrade, my council tax court summons thrown out and now i am after Blizzard Entertainment the produces of World of Warcraft!

I used to play this game several years ago and recently a friend purchased the game and I was aiming to join him to kill a few evenings (saving money as i cannt really afford to go out)

I was suprised to find my account had been banned and I instantly contacted them to be informed the decision was justified and they would not provide any further information or discuss the matter further.

Talk about Customer Service!

So i am curious as to how far i can push them! They have an extensive list of T&C's which basically come down to them claiming a right to ban anyone for any reason.

It is unreasonable for anyone to read the T&C due to the length and language used and i believe it is "unfair".

Blizzard Entertainment are based in France although our contract is governed under UK law, should they honour this.

I have contacted them requesting all information on their systems using the SAR quoting both the Data Protection Act and EU Directive (incase they don't want to proceed within the UK laws)

This isn't about a game, its about the principle of it. I do not like companies refusing to provide me with information I am entitled to!

Over my time with them i have spent over £150 for a product i believed would run for many many years, this product has been terminated early, I believe this will fall under the Sales of Good act in that it has failed to operator for the duration expected.

I would be very grateful for anyones thoughts or suggestions.

Thank you

Hi,

Sorry I can't help you much, but this post just reminded me, my son played Wow, I used to pay 3 monthly, he stopped playing some months ago and I've just realised they have continued to take his payments.

I always paid it 3 months at a time, looks like they've taken a payment without me doing anything, need to get on to them.

Regards.

Scott.
