Hi All,

Great site - have been following advice from here which has helped a lot in my debt management, but I am still somewhat worried.

Without going into all the details, I sent off a number of CCA requests in April with an offer of reduced repayments. (Including an income/expenditure sheet)

These are reasonable following advice from payplan and I resend the letters each fortnight. The problem is I only receive threatening generic letters in return asking for full payment. They don't phone as I've got rid of my mobile and no land line, but every response is generic.

How can I get someone to reply as they have not agreed with my repayment plan, but equally they have not refused it. I just don't know what to do, it's been 4 months.

For any of those that haven't provided you with a CCA you can legally withold payment, if you haven't already done so get their attention with this; http://www.consumerforums.com/resources/templates-library/86-debt-collectors/571-failiure-to-provide-a-copy-of-the-agreement-within-the-prescribed-timescale

For those that have provided the CCA have you checked to see whether they are enforceable? If not, if you scan them, remove identifying details & post them we'll check them out for you. Start a new thread for each one.

Also, have any of them sent you a Default Notice, Termination Notice? If so it would be useful to see those too because if they are defective it could have a big impact on what they can actually claim from you.

Make sure you do not post anything which identifies you. Although we can remove certain things from the site unless it's done in a timely manner everything you post will appear in Google cache & we do not have any control over that.
