Hi,

Does anyone know who S.R.J. Debt Recoveries are and who they work for. OH has rec'd letter headed TRACE CONFIRMATION.

"Dear Joemay OH

We have failed to receive a response to previous correspondence and have therefore made tracing enquiries for confirmation of your current place of resident. Information has been received confirming that your address details have changed to this address.

Please contact us immediately on 08453137203 quoting the above reference number."

They haven't mentioned who they are tracing for, no account #, their ref # does match up to any of OH accts. This is the first correspondence OH's had from them. God only know's why they have sent this, yes we have moved in the last 7 months but all creditors have been notified.

Am loathed to call them to find out, anyone dealt with these muppets before, any idea's who they work for and how should OH respond.

Thanks

You can either send them a bog off message online SRJ Debt Recovery

Or send them this; http://www.consumerforums.com/resources/templates-library/86-debt-collectors/573-general-debt-letter-if-you-know-nothing-of-the-debt

On second thoughts, wait until they contact you again with a ref no.

As Cerber says, wait until they contact you again.

They, trace, collect debts, purchace debts and all the usual DCA stuff.

They are part of a group containing in house Solicitors Bryan Carter & Co

Oh dear that don't sound good. I've seen on hear that Bryan Carter & co are a tricky bunch, go straight to court.

Would it be advisable to send them a letter.

Starting to get a little stressed, seem to be juggling a few DCAs/Creditors all in one go. Have been reading up on everything for months, but now find myself like the rabbit staring into the headlights.

Wait until they contact you in writing. At the moment they are fishing so don't take the bait and let them reel you in. ;)

As cerberusalert say ignore this is just another way of getting people to phone so they can make threats/demands for money that they have not proved they have any legal right to chase or as may be that you are the person actually owing the debt etc.
