Little help required please.....

My son (19) lives with his mother (we are seperated). Said mother has put us into quite a lot of debt (some longstanding mental health issues) and she also took out a mobile phone contract in my son's name without telling him. Anyway it transpires she hasn't paid any of the contract and orange have been chasing but she has been hiding the letters.

Son got a letter from Westminster solicitors stating legal action in seven days if he didnt pay over £600. Despite her doing this my son doesn't want to shop her for fraud and she isnt in a position to pay this being as she is on benefits.

So any advice on how to initially deal with westminster would be welcome?

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

I have a debt with Orange ( a bit smaller amount though) which as been passed on to Westminsters.

They originally offered a reduced settlement figure if I paid in full but accepted a payment of £10 per month via SO with no problems, all done via email so no nasty phone calls.
