Quick question.

My mother left my siblings an I her house in her will. It was agreed that the house would only be sold my one of my brothers, who was residing there, moved out.

This has now happened, the house has been sold and the completion is tomorrow.

I have been informed that the proceeds of the house have to be passed to the probates office.

Does anyone know how soon after transfer of proceeds, the probate office releases the funds to the executors for dishing out?

I think you have been misinformed somewhere along the line. Except in cases where there is some sort of dispute and the court has ordered it, no part of the estate is paid into court. It is up to the executors to distribute the proceeds of sale according to the will.
