I received a parking fine from UKPC together with a photo of my car which they say was causing an obstruction. I have not responded to them but have now received 3 letters from Debt Recovery Plus with costings now up to £226.75 (although they will accept £97.40). They say the following:

"Ignoring this letter will not make it go away. We have referred your case to our Client and proposed issuing County Court proceedings against you!

I would be grateful for advice on how to proceed.

"Ignoring this letter will not make it go away."
True. But putting it in a drawer and forgetting about it will.

UKPC have no lawful authority to fine you because your vehicle was allegedly causing an obstruction.

The best they could hope for (or, rather, the best that the landowner could hope for) would be to sue you for damages caused due to trespass*.

*On the assumption that the vehicle was on the land without permission.
