Can anyone help? I have resigned two weeks ago and my standard notice period is 4 weeks. I am still working through the second week of my notice period. I intend to take off 6 days of holidays as the last week of my employement.

I went to the doctors today and they would like me to take seven days off from work (as I am exhausted, stressed and sore throat getting a lot worse and barely speak).

I am a bit worried about taking a week off during my notice period. If I take a week of now, can my employer force me to withdraw my last week of vacation? (all the flights have been booked etc). By law, what they can do if I take sick days to complete my notice period?

Thanks a lot. Linda

I don't think so. The fact that you are signed off sick whilst on holiday I don't believe counts now.
