I read with interest that people can claim back bank charges. I have had lots of money taken from me for going into my overdraft. I think about £30 eachtime making me more in debt. I will have a look at some of these templates that a mate told me about....you just fill it out at send it off and then hopefully get some cash back....happy days

Hi Stephen and good luck with your claim. All the claims are stayed at the moment so we are all in a queue waiting for our cash to be repaid but get your claim in asap

Thanks Wino, need all the cash I can get. Filled out the forms and sent it off so hopefully will hear back soon. I've been reading about how much money people have claimed back and it is impressive. The banks obviously know they are wrong

The OFT stated that the circa 30 pound charge was unlawfull hence why lenders have now reduced charges to say 12 quid, you may only get the difference back but it all helps

That is credit card charges and not Bank Account charges.

They also didn't say that £12 was fair either. OFT842 and point 1.14 might be worth a read ;)

Bank Charges have not been ruled upon yet, any claim made to your bank will be held till the court make a final decision. Ask your bank for 6 years of statements, highlight all the charges clearly and return it to the bank's head office with a covering letter requesting a refund of all marked charges. Good Luck
