Just wanted to clarify this one point. If I have a debt with company X for whatever reason, can I refuse to deal with a DCA, and demand to only deal with company X ?

Im sure I read somewhere that as the agreement is with company X then its my right to deal directly with company X only.

Anyone able to clarify ?

I think you need to look up "Assignment" and all its associated implications.
